Question: I have been searching for some time now trying various FTP hosting sites. The first one, xtreemehost.com, supported all the files, but the public could not access them. The second did not support .application files, and the third didn’t support .exe files. I need these features for my FTP host because I plan on hosting some of the software I have made there. In the way that Visual Studio publishes them, it creates a .htm file as the page that launches the installers, and it also creates the setup.exe file, a .application file, and an application manifest. I hope to use a single FTP server for the website, which will be relatively small besides the software. Does anybody know of such a host? It needs to be free, because all the software is free and I don’t intend on spending money on a website without getting some back in return.

If you’re doing this on your site, host the files on your site. Or host them on your computer and put an FTP server (like Filezilla server) on it.

You do not need to worry about anonymous login that much because there is this site called www.bugmenot.com that has all kinds of login details for fake accounts for websites that require you to login. The only problem is that some people claim these accounts by just changing the password.

I would like to tell you about free web hosting service I use now.
    Register here: http://www.000webhost.com/289954.html

They give 1500 MB of disk space and 100 GB data transfer. I am now using them for about 3 months and never seen any downtime of server problems. There is no any kind of advertising on my pages too, so I think its worth to signup.
